Walk Through a Century of Fame on One Midtown Manhattan Street

There is a half-mile of Manhattan where the 20th century learned to be famous.

A train terminal that Hitchcock, Coppola and De Palma turned into a stage. A library where Hollywood ends the world — and where New York keeps saving it. A square where a photographer caught the most famous kiss in history on the day the war ended. A theater where 73 million Americans met the Beatles on a single night in 1964. A studio where 'Live from New York...' has opened Saturday nights for fifty years.

This is not a movie tour. It's the story of how one street became the world's stage — told where it happened, with the archives to prove it.

What Makes This NYC Tour Unique

Your smart glasses bring back what's gone: the V-J Day crowds of 1945 layered over today's Times Square. The exact black-and-white frames of North by Northwest inside Grand Central — and the Hollywood secret of which shots were real. The $1 million morning in 2001 when a film crew emptied Times Square entirely. The moment Empire State of Mind bursts into color with Alicia Keys singing steps from where you stand. Lunch Atop a Skyscraper, photographed 850 feet above the sidewalk you'll be standing on.

Your guide connects a century of it — cinema, television, music, news — from the ticker-tape era to the smartphone era, in the company of Cary Grant, Audrey Hepburn, John Lennon, Will Smith and Jay-Z. Live subtitles in your language.
